For the first time in almost two decades, GLOW goes beyond the familiar city limits of Eindhoven. For eighteen years, people from all over the world have been gathering in the center of Eindhoven to admire controversial light artworks. Hidden places, cozy squares and green parks are the stage for an open-air festival that puts the city in a completely new light. This year, not only the city of Eindhoven will shine, but also Oirschot!

It is a foretaste of what is to come: a glimpse into the future with the region as a beacon of light. Iconic and historic buildings take center stage. See how the centuries-old St. Peter's Basilica and the garden of Nazareth Monastery shine in a new light. View the digital map here.

  • Route (digital map to follow) The GLOW route starts at the Boterkerkje where an exhibition of children's artwork by OBS De Korenbloem will be on display.
  • From there you walk via the Market to Museum de Vier Quartieren where you can see a special exhibition: Light! From the time of Van Gogh to contemporary light art.
  • Then walk via the Market to the Tower of the imposing St. Peter's Basilica for the largest light artwork: a towering light artwork is projected on two sides of the basilica tower. The latest stained glass windows by artist Marc Mulders, called 'The Enchanting Garden', can also be seen on the right side of the Basilica.
  • From there you walk to Koestraat, first passing the Hof van Solms and then going to De Brouwerij Vandeoirsprong. Both buildings are artistically illuminated using 'PANI' technology. The route ends at the Franciscan Sisters. The second large light artwork can be found at the back of the monastery garden: this creates a magical scene.
  • From the monastery you walk back towards the Market to enjoy a snack and drink along the way or on the Market.

The route is indicated with green lamps.
