Meanwhile, the 3rd generation has already emerged! Paul Michielse, a barber since 1958, passed on the trade to his son Marc, a barber since 1983, and he is now passing it on to his grandson Tom. Marc started the craft of men's cutting and shaving at the age of 13 in his father's Barbershop, which was then located in the center of Tilburg. Since the old gentleman was a highly recognized men's hairdresser (since 1958) and has won numerous national as well as international awards, this was the best apprenticeship Marc could wish for. Currently, Barbershop Marc is located in the vintage/retro salon Marc in Oirschot, which has been in existence since 1989. The Barbershop has its own man-cave with exactly the same barber chairs that were used in Marc's father's shop back in the day. In other words, old times come alive! You are treated authentically to the sounds of Johnny Cash, Elvis, and other old heroes, and you can even bring your own vinyl record.
